IGN has done it again.. they have released another insanely awesome trailer for Clash of the Titans!  You know the movie with about a dozen awesome stars plus Avatars lead Sam Worthington and not to mention Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes!  This is one of my most anticipated movies of the year just in front of Tim Burton’s visionary Alice in Wonderland.  Take a few minutes, yes a few, to enjoy this awesome international trailer.  I mean you deserve something great in your busy life right?

A few sites have been reporting that Warner Bros. has been planning a reboot for Supergirl.  Not only that but they have also casted country music star Taylor Swift as Supergirl herself.  An unnamed insider via Hollyscoop states, “A number of young stars are being mentioned for the title role in a Supergirl movie and possible TV spin-off and Taylor is top of that list. She has all the right elements to be a positive role model to…”

We doubt that any of this is true, it is most likely just an internet rumor making its rounds.  Hollyscoop’s unnamed source doesn’t sound very legit, it would be like myself stating that I have replaced Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter.. Oh how I wish!  If Warner Bros. was going to do any reboot it would be Superman, which as of now there are no plans for that.  But still, it is nice to imagine what Taylor Swift would look like at Supergirl..

Ok, what is up with Owen Wilson and dogs?  First Marley & Me and now Marmaduke a movie about a family with a great dane that wreaks havoc everywhere it goes, sound familar?  Who cares,  once that California song starting playing I was hooked!  Everyone loves a cute family movie based around a dog that everyone loves, I just hope it isn’t as sad as Marley & Me!  This is just a short teaser trailer that only really introduces you to the main character Marmaduke – the great dane, with Owen Wilson narrating.

Frozen by writer and director Adam Green (Hatchet) is a thriller set in a ski resort on a ski lift.  The plot  follows three college students (Emma Bell, Shawn Ashmore, Kevin Zegers) who are mistakenly stranded on a chairlift, and are “forced to make life-or-death choices that prove more perilous than staying put and freezing to death.”  A few pictures were posted last week over at /Film, but today the first trailer was released.

Here is the Sundance synopsis

On a chilly winter night, three skiers huddle together on a chairlift, confused as to why their ride to the summit suddenly stops. The sting of the icy wind worsens when the floodlights power down, leaving them stranded in the dark. As they wait for help, the reality of the nightmare hits them. The ski resort has just closed, abandoning the group stranded high above the mountain slopes in an oncoming snow storm. With ominous howls echoing through the surrounding woods, they will need to make some tough decisions in order to survive. Writer/director Adam Green skillfully guides this real-world thriller, pushing three college students to confront their natural fears of the dark, cold, heights, and beyond, to see how far a human is willing to go to survive. With bone-chilling performances by Kevin Zegers, Shawn Ashmore, and Emma Bell, Frozen continues horror’s time-honored tradition of scaring audiences away from their favorite recreational activities.

The film is due to be released February 5th, 2010. Will you be seeing it?

New stations, and gossip blogs are all reported a tragic event according to Perez Hilton actress Brittany Murphy has passed away this morning at the age of 32 in Los Angeles.  Brittany Murphy was most recently seen in Across the Hall but is well known from Clueless, 8 mile, and Girl, Interrupted.  It is reported that she was found unconscious in her shower by her mother (how sad!), her mother proceeded to call 911 and paramedics attempted to revive her on the way to the hospital.  It was at the hospital where she was pronounced dead, and then cause of the cardiac arrest in unknown.  While Brittany Murphy isn’t the most famous actress right now, it is very sad and unfortunate she has four upcoming films and she had great potential.  She will be remembered for all of her great appearances and roles in the movies she has done.

Brittany started her career at a very young age of 14 and was accepted by teens from her role in Clueless alongside Alicia Silverstone.  She has acted alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood such as Bruce Willis from Sin City and Dakota Fanning from Uptown Girls.  She had also captured the hearts of millions of penguin lovers from the movie Happy Feet as the voice of Gloria.  As for the four upcoming movies she had completed a horror movie called Abandoned, a thriller Something Wicked, Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables, and a comedy called Shrinking Charlotte they will still of course be released, but this is a great thing she has left behind to hold her place in history.

While this is a horrible thing to say, but should be said in effort to help millions of teens and adults who suffer from eating disorders.  Eating disorders cause the muscles of our hearts to become very weak to a point where they are not strong enough to support a persons body.  This leads to cardiac arrest,  while in her case this may or may not be the reason, there are many causes of cardiac arrest, it fits her character very much.  We will keep you updated as we know more, rest in peace Brittany Murphy.

I guess there has been tons of people complaining about getting headaches while watching James Cameron’s Avatar.  I guess this is normal for some people since it is 162 minutes of 3D action.  I happened to stumble across an article by Shadowlocked (via Gizmodo) that explains “How to not get a headache while watching Avatar.”  I don’t get headaches from watching 3D filming but if you do you should check this out.  While the article is about Avatar these tips in this guide can be used for an 3D movie!  It is pretty straight forward and is kind of a duh factor, but check it out it is really interesting!

Avatar is not filmed in the same way was other 3D movies, Avatar is filmed much more like a regular movie with shallow depths of field that are heavily out of focus.  People who get headaches are looking at the wrong spot of the picture, you want to focus on the in focus part of the picture, not the background that is out of focus (look at the picture above to get a better idea).  Kind of silly of producers to do that since looking at the background is always fun and I know a lot of people tend to look around.

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diez star in their newest comedy/action packed movie called Knight & Day directed by James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma, Walk the Line, Girl Interrupted), the film centers on a fugitive couple (played by Cruise and Cameron Diaz) on a “glamorous and sometimes deadly adventure where nothing and no one – even themselves – are what they seem. Amid shifting alliances and unexpected betrayals, they race across the globe, with their survival ultimately hinging on the battle of truth vs. trust.” The film also feratures Maggie Grace, Peter Sarsgaard, Marc Blucas, Paul Dano, and Viola Davis.  Check out the poster after the break.

If you haven’t seen a star studded film yet well now you will.  Seventeen major actors are on the cast list for the romantic comedy Valentine’s Day which is to hit theaters in, take a wild guess, February!  Valentine’s Day is basically the same movie as Love Actually but takes place on Valentine’s Day instead of Christmas.  Oh yeah and has a crazy star studded cast list containing Bradley Cooper, Taylor Lautner, Jessica Alba, Anne Hathaway, Julia Roberts, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Emma Roberts, Topher Grace, Patrick Dempsey, Taylor Swift, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah, Shirley McLaine, Carter Jenkins, and George Lopez.  We have the trailer after the jump so judge the movie for yourself.There does seem to be many romantic and comic scenes throughout the movie but it does feel like a repeat of Love Actually, He’s Just Not That Into You, and Feast of Love.  But what can you expect, they are all romantic comedies.  This romantic comedy does have a mega star studded cast list that  cannot be ignored, teens are going to go crazy for Taylor Lautner, Taylor Swift, and Joe Jonas who is the voice of a dog!

Intertwining individuals in Los Angeles break-up and make-up based on the pressures of Valentine’s Day.

If there was an award for a best movie posters I believe Daybreakers would have it in its pocket by now.  A few weeks back Lionsgate released the first poster for Daybreakers and it was very intense, if you haven’t seen if you can check out it here.  Now they have released a second poster and holy moley is it creepy!  This is no Twilight vampire ladies this is the real kind of vampire.  Look a those teeth and that nose, man if I saw this hanging in front of me at night on a walk home I would crap my pants.  Take a look at the full poster below.

I wonder how the ladies would feel if Edward Cullen looked like this!  Both of the movie posters are very unique, they seem to be a separate movie in each poster!  I was pretty confused on how they would tie the two movie posters together, one was a harvesting machine and this one is a mega creepy vampire.  Usually it is a  normal looking human vampire in a harvesting type movie..  So forgive me for not posting the trailer for this movie!  After watching it, the movie makes a lot more sense and I actually want to see it!

Yes another new trailer, yay!  Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston star in the upcoming comedy, romance, adventure flick called The Bounty Hunter.  Yes I know go figure Jennifer Aniston is in yet another romance/chick flick type movie with a great story line.  I mean who wouldnt want to see a film with Jennifer Aniston being arrested by her ex-husband bounty hunter (Gerard Bulter) and then with them falling in love right.. not!  But seriously this is how the movie is going to go, the bounty hunter is going to find her attempt to take her in but they will come across many obstacles.  Then he will fall for her again and decide not to take her in and they will live happily ever after, yay!  Chicks are going to go nuts for this movie.. check the trailer out after the jump!

The Bounty Hunter is directed by Chicago-born filmmaker Andy Tennant, of It Takes Two, Fools Rush In, Ever After, Anna and the King, Sweet Home Alabama, Hitch, and Fool’s Gold previously. The screenplay was written by Sarah Thorp, of only See Jane Run, Twisted, and Cornelius previously.  Will you be seeing this?  We wont be..
